Smooth seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. The regions of the North Sea were calm and smooth for most of the fleet as only two DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. Of those two DNFs, both in the first race, one was due to a skipper crashing and the remaining was from a skipper pulling his boat after stating he did not want the rest of the fleet to wait for him after getting a late start. The crowds gathered on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock, in the Eden Jakana region, and along the shores of the islands in the Ziziphus and Genip regions, reveled in the fleet-foiled frisky feline frenzy on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Roundabout and North Sea Snipe courses, was comprised of a small majority of four The Mesh Shop (TMS) Nacra 17s. Three TMS Flying Shadows, two sailing with crew and one sailing single-handed respectively, rounded out this weeks catamaran fleet.
