Mild sim sailing weather with a great fleet and spectator turnout highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The regions of the North Sea were mostly behaved as four DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. Two DNFs were due to skippers pulling their boat, one each in the first and second race. The remaining DNFs were due to crashes at region crossings, both occurring during the second race. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Trapezoid and North Sea WC Reach 2 courses, was comprised entirely of Bandit IFs. The Bandit IFs put on a show for the spectators gathered on the edge of the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier, and along the shores of the island in the Ziziphus region, and the beach in the Eden Albatros region.

Today we had 6 Bandit IFs, including 2 with crew and 6 solo. The North Sea was calm and the weather was perfect. The start went fairly smoothly and soon the fleet spread out over the North Sea. At Ziziphus, Ian took the lead not to give it away anymore.

The start of the second race also went smoothly and Ian immediately took the lead. The fleet stayed together for a long time and there was a long battle between Rugger and Siri for second place.

The spectators gathered on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier, in the Eden Lapwing region, enjoyed some fast fleet-foiled feline racing with the presence of the Wildwind AC-62s putting on a show.

Choppy seas and a great spectator turnout highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. Four DNFs (Did Not Finish) on the day, two in each race, were the result of some rough sim sailing weather in The North Sea regions, with two different regions misbehaved. The gathered crowds on the shores of the island in the Ziziphus region and on the beaches of the Eden Albatros region still enjoyed some spirited sailing from the fleet-foiled felines. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Manta Reverse and North Sea Trapezoid courses, was comprised of a majority of six The Mesh Shop Flying Shadows, evenly split at three single-handed and three crewed respectively. One lone Wildwind AC-62 made up the remainder of the catamaran fleet.

Another great fleet turnout and smooth sim sailing weather were on display for this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The North Sea regions were well behaved as only one DNF (Did Not Finish) was recorded on the day, due to the skippers internet connection dropping during the race. The crowd gathered along the edge of the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier, in the Eden Lapwing region, and on the southern shore of the island in the Ziziphus region, were witness to some great racing. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea 02 course and North Sea Olympic Course (Long), was comprised of a majority of seven Bandit IFs, five single-handed and two crewed respectively. Two Bandit 25Rs made up the remainder of this weeks fleet.

The fleet gets under way during the start of the second race of the North Sea Bandit Regatta, on Monday, July 15th, 2019.
