Calm seas, with a great fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The North Sea regions were once again well behaved for our skippers with only two DNFs (Did Not Finish) recorded on the day. One DNF was due to a skippers connection dying on him, with the remaining DNF due to a skipper crashing while crossing across region corners. The crowds that gathered along the beaches of the island in the Ziziphus region, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, cheered on an exciting display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea SS-01 (Second Sailstice) and North Sea Trapezoid courses, was made up of a majority of nine Bandit 22 LTEs. Five Bandit IFs, three sailing single-handed and two sailing crewed respectively, and one Bandit 60 rounded out this weeks Bandit fleet.
