Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. With a fresh breeze of 18 knots out of the southwest, rising to 21 knots during the second race, The North Sea regions were well behaved for most as two DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. Both DNFs, in both races, were from the same skipper crashing from her internet connection failing and then removing her boat. The crowds that assembled on the lighthouse observation deck on the island in the Ziziphus region, and along the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, indulged in the fresh fleet-foiled feline fun on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Triple Pink and the North Sea Copacabana Reverse courses, was made up of seven The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows in the first race. The second race saw four single-handed Flying Shadows merge into two crewed boats, with another skipper switching to his TMS Nacra 17.
