Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. With a fresh breeze of 18 knots out of the southwest, The North Sea regions were generally well behaved as three DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. The first DNF, occurring during the first race, was due to a skipper crashing while crossing across region corners. The remaining two DNFs, both occurring during the second race, were from skippers pulling their boats, one from puppy lag, and the other from getting stuck on the island in the Genip region. The crowds that gathered at the lighthouses on the islands in the Ziziphus, Genip, and Citrus regions, and along the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, reveled in the electric fleet-foiled feline fever on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on North Sea Olympic Course (Long) and the North Sea Hay course, was made up of five The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows.
