Calm seas, with a large fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Open Regatta. The North Sea regions were decently behaved as three DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. One DNF was due to a skipper crashing while crossing over region corners, with another due to a region border crash. The remaining DNF was due to a skipper pulling his boat after having a scheduling conflict arise. The crowds that gathered on the islands in the Ziziphus and Genip regions, as well as along the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier in the Eden Jakana region, cheered on a great display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers.

This weeks small boat fleet, sailing on the North Sea Copacabana course, was made up of a majority of seven Bandit 22 LTEs. Four Bandit IFs, two The Mesh Shop (TMS) Star Class, one sailing single-handed and one sailing crewed respectively, two TMS Nacra 17s, and one TMS Flying Shadow rounded out this weeks small boat fleet. Meanwhile, the big boat fleet, sailing on the North Sea CCW (Counter-Clockwise) course, was made up of a majority of four TMS I-Mocca 60s. Three WildWind Open 60s, one TMS One Design 65, one ACA33, one Bandit 60, and one Trudeau Francois Jacques rounded out this weeks big boat fleet.
