Saturday afternoon, it was a beautiful day for sailing. This time we had ten Bandit IFs including two with crew.
The North Sea regions behaved very well. The first race went smoothly and the fleet stayed together for a long time. Several mutual fights started, which kept the race exciting.

The second race went smoothly and the fleet stayed together almost to the end. Also in this competition, mutual fights started, as a result of which it remained spanned for a long time.

We had one DSQ (Disqualified) through both races, and it was another successful and sporty day in The North Sea.

More pictures after the results.

Today’s winner was Moon (moonglownight Resident), with Red (RedHeadJO Resident) second, and Ultra (ultramantra Resident) in third place. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.

Race Notes:
Rugger (Ruggeromare Resident) was disqualified (DSQ) during the second race for finishing the race under protest while failing to complete a 360° penalty turn as directed by a race director for a Rule 11 foul.

Red (RedHeadJO Resident) and Ultra (ultramantra Resident) both finished tied with 7 points. Rule A8.1 of Guidance on Scoring under Appendix A to the Rules of Sailing is used to break this tie:

“If there is a series score tie between two or more boats, each boat’s race scores shall be listed in order of best to worst, and at the first point(s) where there is a difference the tie shall be broken in favour of the boat(s) with the best score(s). No excluded scores shall be used.“

Skipper Best Finish Next Best Finish
