The fleet gets underway during the first race of the North Sea Bandit IF Races, on Saturday, June 8th, 2019.
A nice fleet and mild sim sailing weather highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit IF Races. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Copacabana Reverse and North Sea 102 course, was twelve Bandit IFs strong, four crewed and eight single-handed respectively. Th regions of the Fruit Islands and North Sea obliged by behaving well with only one DNF (Did Not Finish) during the first race and three DNFs during the second race. The crowd in attendance, gathered on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier in the Eden Lapwing region, enjoyed the racing display put on by the Bandit IF fleet.

Race Notes:
Moon (moonglownight Resident) and Margo (gsgraaf Resident) both finished tied with 4 points. Rule A8.1 of Guidance on Scoring under Appendix A to the Rules of Sailing is used to break this tie:
“If there is a series score tie between two or more boats, each boat’s race scores shall be listed in order of best to worst, and at the first point(s) where there is a difference the tie shall be broken in favour of the boat(s) with the best score(s). No excluded scores shall be used.“

Sasha (sasha714 Resident), Carrie (carlas212 Resident), and Kim (Kim Farleigh) all finished tied with 15 points. Rule A8.1 of Guidance on Scoring under Appendix A to the Rules of Sailing is used to break this tie:
