Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. With a fresh breeze of 18 knots out of the southwest, turning from of the Southeast during the second race, The North Sea regions were well behaved as no DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. The crowds that gathered on the shores of the islands in the Ziziphus, and Genip regions, and along the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, relished the charged fleet-foiled feline force on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Copacabana and North Sea Cat Fight 02 courses, was made up of a majority of five The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows, four sailing single-handed and one crewed respectively. Two TMS Nacra 17s rounded out this weeks catamaran fleet in the first race. One Nacra skipper opted to use her Flying Shadow with crew for the second race.
