Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. With a moderate breeze of 15 knots out of the southwest, rising to a fresh breeze of 18 knots during the second race, The North Sea regions were calm and generally well behaved as two DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. The first DNF, recorded during the first race, was from a skipper pulling her boat after she collided with the race committee boat. The second DNF, also recorded during the first race, was from a skipper crashing while crossing over region corners. The crowds that gathered on the lighthouse observation deck on the island in the Ziziphus region, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, enjoyed a festive display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Copacabana and North Sea Copacabana Reverse courses, was made up of a majority of five Bandit 22 LTEs. Two Bandit IFs rounded out this weeks Bandit fleet.

Any remaining ties shall be broken by using the tied boats’ scores in the next-to-last race and so on until all ties are broken. These scores shall be used even if some of them are excluded scores.

emiliopc7 Resident 6 4
ruggeromare Resident 4 6

In the last race, Emilio breaks the tie with Rugger with his fourth place finish over Rugger’s sixth place finish.
