Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted the last Cat Fight in The North Sea for September, 2022. With a fresh breeze of 18 knots out of the southwest, turning from the northwest during the second race, The North Sea regions were well behaved as no DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. The crowds that gathered on the shores of the islands in the Ziziphus and Genip regions, and along the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, were delighted by the feverish fleet-foiled feline furor on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Half Mane and North Sea Cat Fight 011 courses, was made up of a majority of five The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows. One WildWind AC-622 rounded out this weeks catamaran fleet in the first race. One Flying Shadow skipper opted for her WildWind AC-45 for the second race.
1Cat Fight 01 is an updated version of a previously named course.
2As of the publishing of these results, the handicap value for the WildWind AC-62 has been adjusted to 1.87, from 1.61. Please see the North Sea Handicap Table for more of our handicap values, and the link to the Google Sheet used to calculate them.
