Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. With a moderate breeze of 11 knots out of the southwest, The North Sea regions were well behaved as one DNF (Did Not Finish) was recorded on the day. The lone DNF was attributed to a skipper crashing while crossing across region corners during the second race. The crowds that gathered along the shores of the islands in the Ziziphus and Genip regions, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, cheered on an energetic display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea 02 and North Sea 01 courses, was made up of a majority of three Bandit 22 LTEs. Two Bandit IFs, split evenly with one crewed and one single-handed respectively, rounded out this weeks Bandit fleet.

Race Director: Cryptic

Today’s winner was Emileigh (Emileigh Starbrook), with Red (RedHeadJO Resident) second, and Zimtzicke (Nicole Myhre) in third place. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate and to the SLCG for helping with race duties.
