Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The North Sea regions were generally well behaved, as three DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. Two of those DNFs were due to skippers crashing while crossing over region corners. The remaining DNF was from a skipper pulling her boat in the second race after frustration from getting lost on the course. The crowds that gathered on the shores of the island in the Ziziphus region, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, cheered on an electric display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Manta Reverse and North Sea Bowline Reverse courses, was made up of a majority of nine Bandit 22 LTEs. One Bandit 25, and one Bandit 50/3 rounded out this weeks Bandit fleet.
