This weeks North Sea Bandit IF Regatta saw another beautiful Saturday afternoon in July. We started with seven Bandit IFs. A compact fleet of seven Bandit IFs sailed to the first turning point. Here a skipper took a slight lead over the fleet. Two followers tried to overtake the leader, but that turned out to be an impossible task. The other four skippers stuck together faithfully. Here and there positions changeded. A skipper did have to give up halfway.
The second race we left with six Bandit IFs. The fleet remained fairly close to each other until the first mark. A skipper then took charge. Two other skippers tried to break free from the fleet and gave chase for the leader. By the end of the race there was a head group of three skippers. They would decide who would win at the finish line.
There was one DNF (Did Not Finish) and no DSQs (Disqualified) through both races and it was another successful and sporty day in The North Sea.
