Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted the last North Sea Bandit Regatta for June, 2022. The North Sea regions were generally well behaved as three DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. All three DNFs occurred during the second race, as two skippers crashed while crossing over region corners, and a third had their connection die. The crowds that gathered on the lighthouse observation deck on the island in the Ziziphus region, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, reveled in a competitive display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Olympic Short Reverse and North Sea WC Reach 2 courses, was made up of a majority of eight Bandit 22 LTEs. Two Bandit IFs, and one Bandit 25r rounded out this weeks Bandit fleet.
