The last North Sea Bandit IF Regatta for June, 2022, took place on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We started with seven Bandit IFs. The start of the first race went smoothly. Six boats in a row sailed across the starting line. Alex stayed a little behind. Fanny and Julie took a small lead and arrived first at the first mark. The four other skippers, Siri, Zero, Rugger and Jack, were already slightly behind. They would be competing for third place. Julie and Fanny would compete for first place.

After a short delay, the second race started. Six boats together competed for first place. During the first leg, the fleet would spread out across the North Sea. By the time of the first and only mark, Fanny was already ahead of the fleet with Zero and Julie. Fanny would increase her lead in the final leg.

The third and final race was again led by the same six boats. A skipper gave up in the first leg. Fanny took the lead with Jack in second. Julie, Zero and Siri had to follow at a distance. Another battle for third place ensued between Julie and Siri, but the match already seemed over.

There were three DNFs (Did Not Finish) and no DSQs (Disqualified) through both races and it was another successful and sporty day in The North Sea.

Race Director: Daenerys
Assistant Race Director: Cryptic
Wind: 220 (SW) 18kts

Note:
Did Not Finish (DNF) = number of finish +1
Disqualified (DSQ) = number of finish + number of DNFs + 1
Did Not Start (DNS) = number of start +1

Today’s winners were Fanny (FannyVermont Resident), with Julie (JulieRoyale Resident) second, and Zero (Sleet Zero) in third place.

Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.
