Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Open Regatta. The North Sea regions were well behaved as one DNF (Did Not Finish) was recorded on the day. The lone DNF was attributed to a skipper pulling his boat during the big boat portion. The crowds that gathered on the shores of the island in the Ziziphus region, and on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock in the Eden Jakana region, delighted in an exciting display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers.

This weeks small boat fleet, sailing on the North Sea Trapezoid course, was made up of majority of six Bandit 22 LTEs. Three Bandit IFs, two sailing single-handed and one sailing crewed respectively, one The Mesh Shop (TMS) Star Class, and one Dolphin Moth rounded out this weeks small boat fleet. Meanwhile, the big boat fleet, sailing on the North Sea Double Loop course, was made up of a split majority of three TMS I-Mocca 60s and three WildWind Open 60s. Two Bandit 60s, one Bandit 55, one ACA33, and one Trudeau 12 Metre rounded out this weeks big boat fleet.
