This weeks North Sea Bandit IF Regatta took place on another beautiful Saturday afternoon in the April. This time we had a fleet of six Bandit IF’s at the start. One of the six Bandit IFs had crew. The Eden and North Sea regions behaved well
Today we had a long, quite long route through Eden. Between the islands of Eden, the skippers would keep looking for the ideal lines. Before the start, the skippers were given the task of compiling the route by means of a map and a list. The route would be the same for everyone, but everyone had their own way of composing the route. Some used the card while others made a USB route notecard.
After the start, it soon became clear who had made the best preparations. Some skippers chose the wrong direction while a group of three had found the right lines. These three would set the battle scene. A skipper had bad luck with his Internet connection, but recovered when he was back online.
There was one DNF (Did Not Finish) and no DSQs (Disqualified) in today’s race and it was another successful and sporty day in The North Sea.
Race Director: Daenerys
Assistant Race Director: Cryptic
Wind: 217° (SW) 18kts
Note:
Did Not Finish (DNF) = number of finish +1
Disqualified (DSQ) = number of finish + number of DNFs + 1
Did Not Start (DNS) = number of start +1
Today’s winners were Julie (JulieRoyale), with Moonglownight (Moonglownight Resident) second, and Zero (Sleet Zero) in third place.
Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.

The fleet gets underway on the North Sea Eden Puzzle 01 course, during the North Sea Bandit IF Regatta, on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022.
