Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The North Sea regions were behaved for most, with just two DNFs (Did Not Finish) recorded on the day. Both DNFs occurred during the first race, as two skippers crashed while crossing over region corners. The crowds that gathered on the observation deck of the lighthouse in the Ziziphus region, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier in the Eden Jakana region, reveled in an exciting display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea SS-01, and the North Sea Trapezoid courses, was made up of a majority of eight Bandit 22 LTEs. Three Bandit IFs, two sailing single-handed and one sailing crewed respectively, rounded out this weeks Bandit fleet.
