Calm to choppy seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. The North Sea regions were well behaved today, as one DNF (Did Not Finish) was recorded during the first race due to a skipper crashing while crossing on region corners. However, during the second race, as the course dipped south into Fruit Islands, three more DNFs occurred. Two of those DNFs were due to skippers pulling their boats after script errors occurred in one region. The remaining DNF was due to a skipper pulling his boat from frustration after being stuck in irons. The crowds that gathered on the shores of the islands in the Genip, and Ziziphus regions, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier in the Eden Jakana region, reveled in the frantic fleet-foiled feline furor on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Bowline and North Sea 04 v3 courses, was made up of a majority of seven The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows, six sailing single-handed and one sailing crewed respectively. Two TMS Nacra 17s rounded out this weeks catamaran fleet.
