A beautiful Saturday afternoon in the summer, the last Saturday of August. This time we had a fleet of ten Bandit IF’s at the start. Two of the nine Bandit IFs had crew. The North Sea and Fruit regions behaved well and there was not a cloud in the sky. Until we got a thunderstorm on our roof in the second race, causing two skippers to stop
Today we would sail two races. In the first race there were duos and this resulted in several beautiful spectacles. At the second race a group of 4 and a group of 5 ships were formed. We kept this situation until we entered the Isles of Fruit. There we lost two skippers.
We had three DNFs (Did Not Finish) and no DSQs (Disqualified) through all races and it was another successful and sporting day in The North Sea.

Today’s winner was Moon (Moonglownight Resident), with Julie (JulieRoyale Resident) second, and Jack (Jacquimo Resident) in third place. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.
Julie (JulieRoyale Resident) did hit the fire of “The Circle of the Dragon” in the Pre-Start of the first race
“During the start there will be a circle in the water that we call “The Circle of the Dragon”. Everyone stays out of this circle until 10 seconds before the start signal. When you are to early in the circle, then I will add 30 second penalty to you finish time.“
Therefore Julie (JulieRoyale Resident) finish time was added with 30 seconds.
