Calm to choppy seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Open Regatta. The North Sea regions for behaved for most, with one DNF (Did Not Finish) recorded on the day. The lone DNF was due to a skipper pulling her boat after experiencing several sudden stops at region crossings, which appears to still be a rare and random occurrence since Linden Research™ moved Secondlife™ to Amazon servers. The crowds that assembled along the shores of the islands in the Ziziphus and Genip regions, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier in the Eden Jakana region, reveled in the spirited display of fleet racing on display from this weeks skippers.

This weeks small boat fleet, sailing on the North Sea Copacabana course, was made up of a split majority of three The Mesh Shop (TMS) Nacra 17s and three Bandit IFs, two sailing single handed and one sailing crewed respectively. One Bandit 22 LTE, one crewed TMS Star Class, and one ReneMarine Clever rounded out this weeks small boat fleet. Meanwhile, the big boat fleet, sailing on the North Sea Circle course, was made up of a small majority of three TMS I-Mocca 60s. Two WildWind Open 60s, one TMS One Design 65, one Bandit 55, and one Trudeau 12 Metre rounded out this weeks big boat fleet.
