Calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The North Sea regions were well behaved for all, as the only DNF (Did Not Finish) on the day was due to a new skipper pulling his boat after getting caught in irons without his foresail raised immediately after the start. The crowds that gathered on the observation platform of the lighthouse in the Ziziphus region, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier in the Eden Jakana region, cheered on exciting display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Bowline and North Sea Trapezoid courses, was comprised of a split majority of four Bandit 22 LTEs and four Bandit IFs, split evenly between two sailing single-handed and two sailing crewed respectively. One Bandit 55, and one Bandit 60 rounded out this weeks Bandit fleet.
