Calm to slightly choppy seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The North Sea regions were generally behaved albeit a little finicky as although all skippers finished both races, there were several region crossing crashes in both races. Those skipepers were able to re-board their boats and continue. The crowds that gathered along the shores of the island in the Ziziphus region, as well as on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier in the Eden Jakana region, cheered on spirited display of fleet racing from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Olympic Short Reverse and North Sea WC Reach 2 courses, was made up of a majority of seven Bandit 22 LTEs. Three Bandit IFs, two sailing single-handed and one sailing crewed rounded out the first race fleet. The fleet stayed mostly the same for the second race with one Bandit 22 skipper switching to her Bandit 50/3 X instead.

North Sea Racing
