A sunny Saturday afternoon in June highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit IF Regatta. The North Sea regions behaved reasonably well. Today, we had a fleet of five Bandit IF’s at the start. One of the six Bandit IF’s were crewed.

We had two great races. There were close fights between all the skippers. For a long time, we had a compact fleet during the two races.

We had two DNFs (Did Not Finish) and no DSQs (Disqualified) through all races and it was another successful and sporting day in The North Sea.

More pictures after the results.

Did Not Start (DNS) = number of start + 1

Today’s winner was Julie (JulieRoyale Resident), with Moon (Moonglownight Resident) second, and Julia (Geneer Gynoid) in third place. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.

Race Notes:
Julie (JulieRoyale Resident) and Moon (Moonglownight Resident) finished tied with 3 points. As they both have duplicate finishes, Rule A8.2 of Appendix A, Scoring, 2021 – 2024 World Sailing Racing Rules of Sailing is used to break this tie:

If a tie still remains between two or more boats, they shall be ranked in order of their scores in the last race. Any remaining ties shall be broken by using the tied boats’ scores in the next-to-last race and so on until all ties are broken. These scores shall be used even if some of them are excluded scores.
