Calm seas, with a light fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. With a moderate breeze of 18 knots, that rose to 21 knots, coming from the southwest, The North Sea regions were smooth and behaved for everyone as no DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. The large crowd that gathered on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier in the Eden Jakana region, and along the shores of the islands in the Genip and Ziziphus regions, cheered on the frisky fleet-foiled feline frenzy on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Manta and North Sea Double Loop courses, was made up of a majority of two The Mesh Shop (TMS) Nacra 17s. One WildWind AC-45 rounded out the first race fleet. The WildWind skipper changed out her AC-45 for a TMS Flying Shadow for the second race.
