Calm to choppy seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. The regions of The North Sea were calm for most as three DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. Of those three DNFs, one was from a skipper crossing on region corners and the remaining two were from skippers crashing at region crossings. The crowd that gathered on the small race dock, in the Eden Jakana region, and along the shores of the islands in the Ziziphus and Genip regions, cheered on the fleet-foiled finicky feline frenzy on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Triple Pink course and a two lap affair on the North Sea Long Loop course, was made up of a majority of six The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows, four sailing single-handed and two sailing crewed respectively. Three WildWind AC-45s, one WildWind AC-62, and one TMS Nacra 17 rounded out this weeks catamaran fleet.
