Slightly choppy seas, with another nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. The regions of The North Sea were behaved for most as two DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. One of those DNFs was due to a skipper sailing across a region corner and crashing, while the other was from a skipper crashing on a region crossing. The crowds that gathered on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small race dock, both in the Eden Jakana region, as well as along the beaches of the islands in the Ziziphus and Genip regions, reveled in the fast fleet-foiled feline frenzy on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Bowline Reverse and North Sea Butterfly courses, was made up entirely of ten The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows during the first race. Seven of those Flying Shadows were sailing single-handed with the remaining three sailing with crew. The second race saw one skipper in a WildWind AC-45, with eight more TMS Flying Shadows, split evenly at four crewed and four single-handed respectively.
