Choppy to calm seas, with a nice fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The North Sea regions were choppy during the first race as four DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded. Two DNFs were a result of skippers crashing on a region crossing, with another due to a skipper crashing to desktop in the middle of a region, and the final DNF was the result of a skipper crashing on region corners. The seas calmed for the second race as every skipper finished. The crowd that gathered on the small race dock, and Poseidong Centre Spectator pier, both in the Eden Jakana region, and along the shores of the island in the Ziziphus region, reveled in some exiciting fleet racing on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Half Mane and North Sea Half Mane Mirror courses, was made up of a majority of nine Bandit 22 LTEs. Three Bandit IFs, two sailing single-handed and one sailing with crew respectively, and two Bandit 25Rs rounded out this weeks Bandit fleet.
