Thursday afternoon was beautiful with good sailing weather, the wind coming from the south west, and no sign of a thunderstorm. Today we had seven Bandit 22 LTEs and four Star Class on the starting line.

From the start, both competitions were exciting. Different lines were sailed by different skippers so that sometimes the buoys went just fine.

We had one DNF (Did Not Finish) and one DSQ (Disqualified) through both races and it was another successful and sporty day in The North Sea.

Race Director: Daenerys
Assist Race Director: Cryptic

Wind: 230° (SW) 18kts

Wind: 220° (SW) 15kts

Note:
Did Not Finish (DNF) = number of finish +1
Did Not Start (DNS) = number of start +1

Today’s winners on the Bandit 22 LTE were Jenna (jnx1e Resident), with Julie (JulieRoyale Resident) second, and Emileigh (Emileigh Starbrook in third place.

Today’s winners on the Star Class were Siri (Sirius Rosca), with Jack (Jacquimo Resident) second, and Kim (Kim Farleigh) in third place.

Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.

Race Notes:
Meireles (Meireles Diabolito) was disqualified (DSQ) during the second race for finishing under protest while failing to complete a 360° penalty turn as instructed by a race director due to a Rule 10 On Opposite Tacks foul against another skipper in the region Dragonfruit.

10 ON OPPOSITE TACKS
When boats are on opposite tacks, a port-tack boat shall keep clear of a starboard-tack boat.
