Calm seas, with another great fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. The North Sea regions were behaved for most of the skippers today, as three DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded through both races. Two of those DNFs were due to a skipper crashing while crossing regions corners, in both races. The third DNF was from a skipper’s connection acting up. The crowd that gathered on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier, in the Eden Jakana region, and along the shores of the island in the Genip region, reveled in the wonderful fleet-foiled feline frenzy on display from this weeks skippers. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Manta Reverse and North Sea Extreme Reverse courses, was made up of a majority of eight The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows, seven sailing single-handed and one sailing with crew respectively. One TMS Nacra 17, and one Wildwind AC-45 rounded out this weeks catamaran fleet.
