Saturday afternoon. A beautiful Saturday afternoon, at the end of a hot summer, with good sailing weather and not a single thunderstorm to be seen. Today we invited several classes to make this Saturday afternoon a special competition. So we had six Bandit IF’s and six Bandit 22 LTEs, with one IF having crew on board.
Just like last weeks, the boats would all start simultaneously, but this would mean that two races would take place at the same time.
We had a good start again. The first mark was rounded nicely and then everyone made their own way through Eden.
In the second race we did this again, but in reverse order.
We had seven DNFs (Did Not Finish) through both races and it was another successful and sporty day in The North Sea.
More pictures after the results.

Note:
Did Not Finish (DNF) = number of finish +1
Did Not Start (DNS) = number of start +1
Today’s winners on the Bandit 22 LTE were Emileigh (Emileigh Starbrook), with Jenna (jnx1e Resident) second, and Zimtzicke (Nicole Myhre) in third place.
Today’s winners on the Bandit IF were Julie (JulieRoyale Resident), with Siris (Sirius Rosca) second, and Moon (moonglownight Resident) in third place.
Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.
Race Notes:
Zimtzicke (Nicole Myhre) was disqualified (DSQ) during the first race for sailing an incorrect course, sailing the fourth mark, the center island in Eden Sparrow, on the north side instead on the south side.
Jun (since20171106) was disqualified (DSQ) during the second race for sailing an incorrect course, sailing the third mark , the small island in Eden Pigeon on the south side instead on the north side.
Emileigh (Emileigh Starbrook) and Jenna (jnx1e Resident) both finished tied with 3 points. As they both have duplicate finishes, Rule A8.2 of Guidance on Scoring under Appendix A to the Rules of Sailing is used to break this tie:
“If a tie still remains between two or more boats, they shall be ranked in order of their scores in the last race. Any remaining ties shall be broken by using the tied boats’ scores in the next-to-last race and so on until all ties are broken. These scores shall be used even if some of them are excluded scores“
