Saturday afternoon, it was a beautiful day for sailing. This time we had six Bandit IFs including one with crew.
The North Sea regions behaved reasonably well. However, we had the first dropout not long after the start. This race went quite well and exciting because we had a group of three boats that stayed close together, but one of them took the lead and never let go. The second place was decided at the end of the last leg.
The second race started very energetically for all sailors, nevertheless they got a storm halfway through the race before them, so we had two dropouts. Two other sailors fell out of the boat but were able to jump into the boat, so that they could continue sailing. The race was decided by these two sailors on the finish line and brought us a surprising new winner.
We had two DSQs (Disqualified) and three DNFs (Did Not Finish) through both races, however it was another successful and sporty day in The North Sea.
More pictures after the results.

Note:
Did Not Finish (DNF) = number of finish +1
Did Not Start (DNS) = number of start +1
Today’s winner was Tamar (Tamara Czervik), with Siri (Sirius Rosca) second, and Dunia (Dunia Moulliez) in third place. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.
Race Notes:
Max ( Maximiliano Szondi) was disqualified (DSQ) during the first race for sailing an incorrect course, missing the second course mark in the Eden Shag region. He was sailing North Sea The Bridge course instead of North Sea Scampi course.
Rugger (ruggeromare Resident) was disqualified (DSQ) during the second race for finishing the race failing to complete a 360° penalty turn as instructed by a race director due to a Rule 10 foul against another skipper.

Tamar (Tamara Czervik) and Siri (Sirius Rosca) both finished tied with 3 points. As they both have duplicate finishes, Rule A8.2 of Guidance on Scoring under Appendix A to the Rules of Sailing is used to break this tie:
“If a tie still remains between two or more boats, they shall be ranked in order of their scores in the last race. Any remaining ties shall be broken by using the tied boats’ scores in the next-to-last race and so on until all ties are broken. These scores shall be used even if some of them are excluded scores.“
Skipper | Race 1 | Race 2 |
Tamara Czervik | 2 | 1 |
Sirius Rosca | 1 | 2 |
In the last race, Tamarushka breaks the tie with Siri with her first place finish over Siri’s second place finish.
Dunia (Dunia Moulliez) and Rugger (ruggeromare Resident ) both finished tied with 7 points.
Dunia Moulliez | 4 | 3 |
ruggeromare Resident | 3 | 4 |
In the last race, Dunia breaks the tie with Rugger with her third place finish over Rugger’s forth place finish.
Max (Maximiliano Szondi) and Jack (Jacquimo Resident) both finished tied with 9 points. As they both have the exact same finishes, finishing with a five point finish during the first race and a four point finish during the second race respectively, neither Rule A8.1 or Rule A8.2 of Guidance on Scoring under Appendix A to the Rules of Sailing will satisfy breaking their tie. Therefore, Max and Jack remain tied in fifth place overall.
