Smooth to slightly choppy sim sailing weather, with a great fleet turnout, highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The regions of the North Sea started out incredibly smooth, as the only one DNF (Did Not Finish) was recorded during the first race, due to a skipper pulling her boat when she realized she had been sailing an incorrect course. The seas turned slightly choppy during the second race as two more DNFs were recorded, both due to skippers crashing on crossings. The crowds on hand, gathered on the islands in the Genip, Ziziphus, and Eden Auk regions, as well as both small race docks, in the Eden Jakana and Eden Jaeger regions, were treated to some great racing from our monthly There and Back Again set of races, using both race lines in the Eden Curlew and Eden Jaeger regions. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Curlew to Jaeger 02 and North Sea Jaeger to Curlew 01 courses, was comprised of a small majority of seven Bandit 25Rs. Six Bandit IFs, five sailing single-handed and one sailing with crew, made up the remainder of this weeks Bandit fleet.
