Smooth to choppy sim sailing weather, with a lighter holiday fleet turnout, featured in this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. The North Sea regions were well behaved throughout the first race, only to turn choppy during the second race as two DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded. One DNF was due to a skipper crashing on a crossing and another from a skipper pulling his boat after the start line when its scripts stopped functioning. The spectators in attendance, gathered on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small racing dock in the Eden Jakana region, were in a great Valentine’s mood as they cheered on the fleet-foiled feline flying skippers through both races. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea Triple Pink and newly created North Sea Snipe1 courses, was comprised of a majority of three The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows, one sailing with crew and two sailing singe-handed respectively. One lone TMS Nacra 17 rounded out this weeks catamaran fleet.
1North Sea Snipe was created this week, by Cryptic, for the race line in the Eden Jakana region.
