Saturday afternoon, with ten Bandit IFs, six of which with crew and four solo, we could expect something special on the North Sea. The wind was good and there was no heavy weather coming. A boat immediately took the lead with a group of three boats chasing after him and behind it another group of three boats. A boat missed the buoy in Dragonfruit and as a result got a DSQ (Disqualified) in his pants as we say in The Netherlands..

In the second race, a group of four boats emerged from the start. One of the boats took a lead with the remaining three boats in the chase. We lost one of the sailors at the start of the race. After the end of the race, the boats started to spread further apart, were you saw boats sailing everywhere, which again gave a nice sight. However, two boats missed the orange buoy in Sapodilla, which also gave them a DSQ.

With a DNF (Did Not Finish) and three DSQs, another sporting if not successful day in The North Sea.

The fleet rounds the blue buoy in the Sapote region, the first course mark on the North Sea Counterclockwise (CCW) course, during the North Sea Bandit IF Races on Saturday, December 7th, 2019.
