A great fleet turnout with some great sim sailing weather highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. This weeks fleet, sailing on the North Sea 01 and North Sea Triple Pink courses, was comprised of a majority of six Bandit IFs, five sailing single-handed with one sailing with crew respectively. Four Bandit 25Rs, one Bandit 50/3, and one Bandit 60 made up the remainder of this weeks fleet. The regions of the North Sea were well behaved as only one of the four DNFs (Did Not Finish) recorded on the day was due to a sailor crashing out of Secondlife. The other three DNFs were due to a collision knocking a boat out of a race, and a new skipper getting lost in each race and pulling her boat from competition. The spectators on hand, gathered on the Poseidon Sailing Centre Pier in the Eden Jakana region, were treated to some grand large fleet racing as a result from the great weather and numerous boats.

Race Notes:
Max (Maximiliano Szondi) was disqualified (DSQ) during the first race for sailing an incorrect course, he sailed under the land bridge of the island in the Genip region instead of rounding the entirety of the island. As the North Sea 01 course is an island race, comprising two islands as the course marks, Max failed to round the second course mark resulting in an incorrect sailed course.

Lilita (lilita Cifuentes) was disqualified (DSQ) during the second race for finishing under protest while failing to complete a 360° penalty turn as instructed by a race director for a Rule 11 foul at the start line, colloquially known as barging.

11 ON THE SAME TACK, OVERLAPPED
When boats are on the same tack and overlapped, a windward boat shall keep clear of a leeward boat.

Zimtzicke (Nicole Myhre) was disqualified (DSQ) during the second race for committing a Rule 10 foul against Sandra (WWWAAAA Resident) at the second course mark, the white buoy in the Eden Jakana region, that was so violent, the resulting collision knocked both boats out of the race causing both skippers to withdraw. As a result, Zimtzicke failed to complete a 360° penalty turn for the resulting foul.

10 ON OPPOSITE TACKS
When boats are on opposite tacks, a port-tack boat shall keep clear of a starboard-tack boat.
