Stormy sim sailing weather and another nice fleet turnout highlighted this weeks North Sea Bandit Regatta. The regions of the North Sea were ornery as seven DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day, four in the first race and three in the second respectively. The crashes in the race seemed inconsistent to region and more arbitrary as only two DNFs occurred at the same point, the crossing from the Sapote region into the Eden Lapwing region during the first race. Of the other five DNFs, two were due to navigation HUD issues, and the remaining three were due to crashes at other spots in the estate. Nonetheless, spectators still enjoyed some great displays of racing, from the still under renovation Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier and small racing dock in the Eden Lapwing region. This weeks fleet, sailing on North Sea Olympic Course (Long) and the North Sea Triple Pink course, was comprised of a majority of seven Bandit IFs, five single-handed and two crewed respectively. Three Bandit 25Rs made up the remainder of this weeks fleet.
