From the down to up: (in Bandit IFs): Fanny & Justin, Ian, Tay & Randy, Siri, Julie, Red, Ominu
On the Committee boat: Daenerys & Sasha, On the pier: Cryptic
Today we had 7 Bandit IFs, including 2 with crew and 5 solo. With 6 boats that went straight across the starting line, we had a great start to the first race. Fanny quickly took the lead and behind her a group of 5 boats formed.
The start of the second race also went reasonably smoothly. Save everyone by turning first to the first buoy. At the first buoy Fanny and Tay were in the lead with Red, Ian and Siri. Fanny and Red made it increased their lead over the fleet before the rest knew.
With no DNFs (Did Not Finish) and no DSQs (Disqualified), it was another successful and sportive day in North Sea.

Today’s winner was Fanny (FannyVermont Resident), with Red (RedHeadJO Resident) second, and Ian (IanPixel Resident) in third place. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.
Race Notes:
Siri (Sirius Rosca) and Julie (JulieRoyale Resident) both finished tied with 11 points. Rule A8.1 of Guidance on Scoring under Appendix A to the Rules of Sailing is used to break this tie:
“If there is a series score tie between two or more boats, each boat’s race scores shall be listed in order of best to worst, and at the first point(s) where there is a difference the tie shall be broken in favour of the boat(s) with the best score(s). No excluded scores shall be used.“
Skipper | Best Finish | Next Best Finish |
Sirius Rosca | 4 | 7 |
JulieRoyale | 5 | 6 |
With the race results rearranged in best to worst finish order, per A8.1, the tie breaks in Sirius Rosca’s favor with having a forth place finish over JulieRoyale’s fifth place finish as her best.
