Big cats and smooth sim sailing weather highlighted this weeks Cat Fight in The North Sea. The big cats came out his week, as two Wildwind Ac-45s and one Wildwind AC-62 joined the fleet as they sailed on the North Sea Extreme and North Sea Bowline courses. The rest of the fleet was comprised of five The Mesh Shop Flying Shadows, two crewed and three single-handed, respectively. The waters of the North Sea and Fruit Islands responded in kind as no DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day. Once again, spectators continued to crowd the shores of the island in the Ziziphus region to take in the sites of the large fleet-foiled felines.

Today’s winner was Moon (moonglownight Resident), with Daenerys (blondij Resident) second, and Tara (Zella Ansar) in third place. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to sail and spectate.
Race Notes:
ViV (vivipezz Resident), Ginko (GinkoStar Resident), and Rayz (Rayzza Rubble) all finished tied with 10 points. Rule A8.1 of Guidance on Scoring under Appendix A to the Rules of Sailing is used to break this tie:
“If there is a series score tie between two or more boats, each boat’s race scores shall be listed in order of best to worst, and at the first point(s) where there is a difference the tie shall be broken in favour of the boat(s) with the best score(s). No excluded scores shall be used.“
Skipper | Best Finish | Next Best Finish |
vivipezz Resident | 2 | 8 |
GinkoStar Resident | 4 | 6 |
Rayzza Rubble | 5 | 5 |
With the race results rearranged in best to worst finish order, per A8.1, the tie breaks in ViV’s favor with having a second place finish over Ginko’s fourth place finish and Rayz’s fifth place finish as their best. Subsequently, Ginko further breaks the tie with his fourth place best finish over Rayz’s fifth place best finish.
