Nice sim sailing weather and a great fleet turnout highlighted this weeks North Sea Open Regatta. The waters of the North Sea behaved well for both fleets as only one DNF (Did Not Finish) was recorded on the day, during the big boat portion of the regatta. Spectators crowded along the shores of the Eden Albatros region, the island in the Ziziphus region, and on the Poseidon Centre Spectator Pier to witness the exciting racing displayed by both fleets.

This weeks small boat fleet, sailing on North Sea Olympic Course (Long), was comprised of a majority of seven The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows, two crewed and five single-handed respectively. One TMS Star Class, one Shields Class, one Bandit 25r, one TMS Laser one, and one TMS Nacra 17 made up the remainder of the small boat fleet. Meanwhile, the big boat fleet, sailing on the North Sea Manta course, was comprised of a majority of five Wildwind Open 60s. Two Bandit 50/3s and two TMS Volvo Open 70s made up the remainder of the big boat fleet.
