Excellent sim sailing weather and a great fleet turnout featured during this weeks Backwater Bay Yacht Club Open Regatta. The regions in Bingo Strait behaved well as not a single DNF (Did Not Finish) was a result from bad crossings or crashing. The only DNF on the day was due to a sailor pulling their boat three regions from the finish line and leaving. A small crowd turned out to witness both races from both the committee boat dock in the Woodfall region and at the lighthouse islands in the Nimitz and Rodel regions.

This weeks small boat fleet, racing on the BBYC 05 course, was comprised of a majority of five The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows. Two Bandit 25Rs, one Bandit IF, and one TMS Nacra 17 made up the remainder of the small boat fleet. Meanwhile, the big boat fleet, racing on the BBYC W1 course, was comprised of two Wildwind Open 60s, one Wildwind RC-45r, one ACA33, one TMS Volvo Open 70, one TMS One Design 65, and one TMS Ushuaia.
