This weeks Backwater Bay Yacht Club IF Star 25R Regatta featured some choppy sim sailing weather and a nice fleet turnout. The regions in Bingo Strait started off behaving but turned lightly choppy as three DNFs (Did Not Finish) were recorded on the day, two of which occurred during the second race as conditions worsened in the Muta region. This weeks fleet, racing on the BBYC 12 and BBYC Lighthouse Race courses, was comprised of a majority of four Bandit 25Rs. Two Bandit IFs and one The Mesh Shop Star Class rounded out this weeks fleet.

Note: With the onset of DST in the United States, Canada, and most of Mexico this past Sunday, SL time (PST) is now one hour ahead (PDT). However, Europe will not be hitting EU Summer Time until March 31st. In order to facilitate that our races are still at a friendly time for our sailors, we will be running our races one SL hour ahead, but still at the same time Greenwich Mean Time and Central European Time. This adjusted schedule will last until March 31st, when the EU Summer Time adjustment takes effect.

Astrid, in her Bandit 25r, crosses the finish line followed by Laured, in her Bandit 25r, during the first race of the Backwater Bay Yacht Club IF Star 25 Regatta, on Monday, March 11th, 2019.
