Smooth sailing weather and a great spectator turn out featured during this weeks Backwater Bay Yacht Club Open Regatta. The Bingo Strait regions behaved themselves along with the Western Channel regions of Nautilus City, as only one DNF (Did Not Finish) was recorded on the day, from the big boat portion. Spectator turn out was great as the committee boat dock at the Woodfall race line was packed, which also carried over to the Pastiche race line committee boat dock. Spectators also lined up along the water front of the villa, in the Twice Bitten region, and the spectator area for Pastiche Bay, in the Skeezits region.

This weeks small boat fleet, sailing on the newly created BBYC Woodfall to Pastiche 02 course, was comprised of a slim majority of three The Mesh Shop (TMS) Flying Shadows. Two Quest Melges-24s, two Bandit 25rs, two Bandit IFs, and one TMS Nacra 17 made up the remainder of the small boat fleet. Meanwhile, the big boat fleet, sailing on the also newly created BBYC Pastiche Bay 01 course, was comprised of a split majority of two Wildwind AC-45s and two TMS One Design 65s. One TMS Volvo Open 70, one ACA33, and one TMS Ushuaia made up the remainder of the big boat fleet.
